VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer when you can & for the amount of time that you can, at any time!  There's no set schedule or amount of time that you have to commit to.  We encourage our D.O.G.S. to volunteer as much as they are able!
Below is a rough daily schedule of times and activities you can assist with.
Just sign up for the day and come at the time you can.

DAILY NEEDS

7:40-8:00

Assist with morning drop off.  (Car rider, buses, cafeteria/gym).

8:00-8:30

Patrol hallways, parking lot, buildings, and perimeter.  Check all doors and verify they are locked.  All visitors are to check in at the front office before entering the building.   Please direct anyone trying to enter the building to the front office entrance.

10:00- 1:45

Lunch and recess interaction – we encourage you to eat lunch with your own student(s) and visit with the other students during this time.  Once you have had a chance to eat with your student please join recess!  Extra eyes are always a great thing.  During recess help monitor, but also have fun. Smile and enjoy!  

1:45-3:15

Patrol hallways, parking lot, buildings, and perimeter. Check all doors to verify they are secure.

3:45-4:30

After school activities, Usually occur weekly on Monday/Tuesday/ Thursday - Coordinate with activity facilitator for exact times.

 

Misc. Assistance - At times, situations arise where teachers and other staff need our assistance with various tasks.  Everything from carrying items, moving furniture, putting together furniture for a teacher, and other odd jobs.  When these arise we broadcast over email looking for volunteers!

SPECIAL EVENT NEEDS

There are multiple special events throughout the year in which our D.O.G.S are needed. Some examples are listed below.

  • Grade Level Field Trips

  • PTO Events - on and off campus

  • Open House

  • Red Ribbon Week Setup/ Tear Down– D.O.G.S. needed to hang/ remove ribbons and banners and any other decorative or labor tasks. 

  • Field Day - Work with the teachers and coaches to help set up and run field day activities!

  • Book Fair
